Come and join us for a Big Green Week Event hosted by Peter Gibbs from the BBC’s Gardeners’ Question Time, and with the local Wildlife Gardening Awards.

A chance to ask the experts on our panel in a fun and informative event all your questions on gardening for wildlife. We’ll have local wildlife gardeners, members of Wild Maidenhead & more.

Whatever outdoor space you have this is the ideal opportunity to learn more about how to make space for wildlife and enjoy your garden.

CLOTHES-SWAP: SAT MAY 31ST!

Why a Clothes Swap? Got a wardrobe full of clothes and nothing to wear? We hear you.

1 in 3 women feel their clothes are outdated after less than three wears. We think that’s a waste. Clothes swaps are the perfect chance to refresh your wardrobe at a fraction of the price while doing something good for the planet. Join us in making a difference by choosing to swap, not shop.

How it works: Bring up to 10 items of clothing, accessories and shoes to swap. Everything must be freshly cleaned and in good condition. While we accept items in all shapes, styles and sizes, we don’t accept kid’s clothes.
The Token System: We operate using a tiered token system: bronze, silver and gold. We categorise items based on the type, brand, RRP and condition. You will be given relevant tokens in return for your items when you drop them off which you can use to exchange for items on the day.
We ask that clothes be dropped off in advance to keep things running smoothly on the day. Drop-off slots are listed below. 👇🏼

All the information you need is on the EventBrite Ticket page including how to buy your ticket, what to bring (and what not to bring!) and when it’s happening!

Once you’ve bought your ticket, pop into the Eco Action Hub at any of the above dates and times to drop off your items. Remember to bring up to 10 items only that are freshly washed and in good condition. We’ll categorise your items and exchange them for the relevant tokens.

Drop off Dates & Times

  • Sunday 18th May between 11am – 2pm
  • Saturday 31st May between 11am -12pm (1 hour before the event)

Clothes Swap Date & Time:

  • Saturday 31st May between 1pm – 3pm
  • Go home with a new wardrobe of clothes … !

THIS WEEK: Repair Cafe & Birthday – Saturday 10th May

🎂🎈 Can you believe we’ve been running the Repair Cafe for 4 years: It’s our birthday celebration 10th May! Come celebrate from 12:30 and share in our special birthday treats, cake, coffee and even bubbles! 🎈🎂

And don’t forget to book in your treasured possession for repair!

The Repair Café gives people’s broken or worn-out possessions a new lease of life! See people like yourself rebuilding, repairing and recycling cherished items that might otherwise be thrown away. Open again in our ECO-Action Hub.

We open from 10:00 to 15:00. Repair skills available at this next event include:
– small electrical items (excludes microwaves and large items)
– laptops/computers, phone repairs (except screen repairs)
– IT assistance(e.g. anti-virus, software updates)
– glass repairs, book binding, fixing picture frames
– basic woodwork, small furniture items
– sewing and mending, textiles repairs

We aim to fix anything, our volunteers love to solve problems!
