đŸŒ± 🌍 See David Attenborough’s “Ocean” at Norden Farm in July 🌍 đŸŒ±

‘Norden Farm Centre for the Arts’ (near Altwood in Maidenhead) is screening David Attenborough’s wonderful ‘Ocean’ over three days in July.

Our ECO Action WAM Team are planning to have a ‘booth’ during the screening, where we are looking forward to meet lots of people, have interesting conversations on carbon reduction & saving money, handing out leaflets & action-plans.

This is a great opportunity to see & hear from an internationally recognised icon & some say national treasure, what is happening int the oceans, how human-made climate change & pollution is affecting them and , and what action they can take to help fight climate change.

Attenborough explores the planet’s undersea habitats, revealing the greatest age of ocean discovery and emphasizing the ocean’s vital importance while exposing its problems and highlighting opportunities for marine life recovery.

Norden Farm’s Screening Times:
11th July 14.00 & 20.00
12th July 20.00
17th July 14.00

🌍 Volunteer Role: National Action Coordinator

Help Drive National Change for Climate and Nature

At ECO Action, we believe real impact comes when personal actions are matched with collective effort. That’s why we encourage everyone to Take Action across four areas:

  • Personal – follow a Personal Action Plan
  • Communicate – talk to family and friends
  • Community – volunteer locally
  • National – demand bigger changes from those in power

We’re now looking for an enthusiastic volunteer to lead the charge in that fourth area — National Action.

What You’ll Do

As National Action Coordinator, you’ll help local people amplify their voices and influence national decisions. Your role includes:

đŸ”č Petition & Campaign Coordination

  • Gather and maintain a list of credible national petitions (e.g. from Greenpeace, Friends of the Earth, The Climate Coalition)
  • Choose and highlight the most urgent and impactful ones
  • Store and share them with our supporters via our Google Drive
  • Identify Climate or Nature Bills due to be debated in Parliament
  • Encourage our community to contact their MP and sign key petitions

đŸ”č Collaborate with National Organisations

  • Liaise with groups like Greenpeace and Friends of the Earth about any national campaigns happening locally
  • Let our volunteer base know how they can get involved in actions such as leafleting or door-knocking

đŸ”č Engage Local Politicians

  • Help us connect more regularly with local MPs, especially Josh Reynolds (Maidenhead) and Jack Rankin (Windsor), and others as appropriate
  • Explore working with local Labour or other party groups to influence policy
  • Look for opportunities to encourage political parties to go further and faster for Climate and Nature

What You’ll Bring

  • Passion for Climate and Nature
  • Good organisational skills
  • Confidence with online tools (e.g. Google Drive, email)
  • Ability to communicate with people and inspire action

You don’t need to be a policy expert — just someone who cares and is ready to help others speak up.

Why It Matters

National decisions shape the future of our planet. As National Action Coordinator, you’ll play a crucial role in empowering local voices to influence national policy — and in doing so, help protect the climate and restore nature for generations to come.

đŸŒ± Ready to Step Up?

Please email us at here with “National Action Volunteer” as the title to find out more and provide more of your details. Thank you.
