Repair Cafe – Saturday 11th January

The Repair Café gives people’s broken or worn-out possessions a new lease of life! See people like yourself rebuilding, repairing and recycling cherished items that might otherwise be thrown away. Open again in our ECO-Action Hub.

We open from 10:00 to 15:00. Repair skills available at this next event include:
– small electrical items (excludes microwaves and large items)
– laptops/computers, phone repairs (except screen repairs)
– IT assistance(e.g. anti-virus, software updates)
– glass repairs, book binding, fixing picture frames
– basic woodwork, small furniture items
– sewing and mending, textiles repairs

We aim to fix anything, our volunteers love to solve problems!

ECO Hub – Refreshing our messaging!

Help us freshen up our style, our walls, our Hub! 

Christmas Graphics with Strap-Line

What are we doing over Christmas? We think it’s time for a fresh look for the new year! We’ll be busy refining ‘the walls’ in the Hub. And we need your help and your great ideas!

Come and help be part of it! We’re closing on Christmas Eve, then after Christmas we’re opening our doors for our teams of helpers to put “the new look” on the walls:

  • We’re aligning our all our messaging to our tag line: “Reduce/Less Carbon, Increase/More Nature, Improve/Better Wellbeing”
  • We’re looking for 3 or 4 teams working to our ‘message guidelines’ to populate the walls with our Eco-Action messages!
  • You may be a great graphic artist, or have a good sense of design, or loads of enthusiasm? Perhaps you have painting skills, can print and produce good content and messages?? Or just want to get involved?
  • Come for a couple of hours, or a couple of mornings … we’d appreciate your help and we do have great coffee to share!
